The CCHS JVB women's team had a comfortable win over Bedford in a game that featured assists and goals by eleven different players and clean sheets by goalies Sky Smith and Erin Challenger.  Captain Ana Forsberg once again set the tone by putting lots of pressure on the Bedford defensive line, generating two turnovers and shots that just missed the far post.  In the 10th minute Katherine Richardson found Quinn McIntyre whose through pass found Kiley Pietropaolo who took one dribble and finished inside right post.  Five minutes later Ana Forsberg made a run up the left flank and sent a perfect cross-pass to Kiley Pietropaolo who calmly finished from near the penalty spot.

The third goal came as Audrey Mirak found Josie Badgley who dribbled past a Bedford defender and shot around the onrushing keeper.  This was followed minutes later by a through pass from Amanda Kiefer that both the Bedford keeper and sweeper tried to contend with. Ana Forsberg pounced on the resulting rebound, creating a loose ball for Josie Badgley to put away.  The last goal of the first half came as Caroline Allard connected with Jenny Colbert who placed a nice pass into space for Elizabeth Staniar to make a half-field run and finish low and left of the Bedford keeper.

The second half featured another Kylie Pietropaolo goal, off an Ava Dominguez pass.  Minutes later Quinn McIntyre found Captain Kimmy Staniar who made a high speed 40-yard run, finishing strong inside right post.  The final goal was a Caroline Allard  breakaway, in which she lost and regained possession on a tough physical challenge to the Bedford sweeper, followed by a calm finish to the right half of goal.

JVB's next hosts Cambridge this Friday at 4PM at the CCHS upper grass field.
