JVB back in saddle after dominating Newton South

The CCHS JVB got back to their winning ways with a decisive 4-0 romp over Newton South on an unseasonably warm and beautiful afternoon at Emerson Field.  Elizabeth Walsh got things going in the 10th minute as she connected with a through pass from defender Emilia Bondesgaard and rifled a lefty shot from close to the corner which sailed over the Newton keeper into the upper right angle.  A few minutes later midfielder Clara Lewis fed a pass to Walsh who this time had a rare rightie shot that dipped under the keeper by the near post.

The second half was completely dominated by JVB despite playing into the setting sun.  JVB's third goal was scored by Emma Henschke who rifled a smart low back post shot from an assist by Jenny Colbert.  The final goal came as Grace Maione dribbled past a couple of defenders, finding Jackie White for a shot into the upper right of the goal.

JVB's final road game will be at Waltham before the team closes its season out on Monday at home against Wayland.
