CCHS Downs LS in Season Opener! 2021

Posted by CCHS Womens Soccer at Sep 9, 2021 6:29PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

The Patriots opened the 2021 season with a big win against arch rival Lincoln-Sudbury. LS got on the board first, scoring an impressive header off a corner kick early in the game. Once the first game jitters settled down, CC took control of the game making it very hard for LS to mount any sustained offense. After a number of opportunities, CC found the back of the net when Nia Hislop scored on a well timed pass from freshman, Avery Cox to tie the game at the 30th minute. CC scored two more goals before the half. Goals from sophomore Natalie Gahan (her first goal on Varsity!) and Hazel Johnstone on an assist from Nia put the Patriots up 3-1 at half.

In the second half, the Patriots controlled much of the play and notched another goal in the 57th minute when Caroline Coletti scored with Nia assisting. The Patriots capped off their scoring effort on a beautiful one touch shot by sophomore Cara Ubaldino ( her first varsity goal!) off a well placed cross from Nia in the 67th minute. Late in the game, LS scored on a strong shot off a direct kick.

Final Score CC 5 LS 2

Record 1-0

Next game: Lexington, home on Memorial turf field on Saturday 5:00pm

Fitness test Options 2021

Posted by CCHS Womens Soccer at Aug 18, 2021 4:58PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

The coaches are going to offer a couple of times for players to come this weekend if they would like to try and get the fitness tests out of the way before tryouts start on Monday.

Assistant Coach, Phil Morris will be conducting the following sessions:

Friday, August 20th 5:00pm at the Stadium Turf Field – Beep Test

Saturday, August 21st 4:00pm at the Stadium Turf Field – 120 Test

Players can complete this test at these times and they will not be required to do them at preseason tryouts.

Players who want to be considered for a Varsity spot must meet the Varsity standards, which can be found at on this webpage in order for the test to be deemed complete. If they do not meet the Varsity standards then they will need to complete the tests during preseason as well. Players who are not trying out for a Varsity spot only need to do it once and make sure that their score is recorded.
