Summer Soccer League Information

Posted by CCHS Womens Soccer at Jun 11, 2024 1:04PM PDT

Hello Concord Carlisle High School Girls Soccer families!

Following on this afternoon’s information session with CCHS Girls Varsity Soccer Coach Peter Fischelis, we would like to be in touch with you about the 2024 Summer Soccer League. The Summer Soccer League is organized by Friends of Concord Carlisle Girls Soccer (FOCCGS), in conjunction with three other high schools: Acton- Boxborough, Lincoln-Sudbury, and Wayland. All current and incoming CCHS Girls Soccer players are encouraged and welcome to participate in the Summer Soccer league.

The Summer Soccer League involves up to two matches/week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 – 8:00pm, and will run from July 2 through August 1.

This is a low-key, fun, experience and a great opportunity to play with and develop relationships with future teammates. While the CCHS varsity team captains organize and manage the matches, we ask one parent to volunteer to hang out on the sidelines and be an additional helper for each game.

We collect fees to cover our costs ($25 per player), as each home team is required to provide a referee for the game. Players participating in Summer Soccer league are not required to attend every game, but playing as much as possible will help the team bond and is also a great way to stay in shape before the preseason practices. We hope to have 15 – 21 players per game, and then captains and players will manage substitutions.

We will send out the official Sign-Up Genius for the scheduled games shortly.

Right now, please email me with your player’s name and game jersey size (Small, Medium, or Large). The summer league game jerseys are women’s maroon dri-fit, and will be created by Cliff at Soccer Stuff. The cost for the jersey $25. New/incoming players are randomly assigned numbers.

Current players who already have a jersey are not required to order a new one, but if you need a new jersey please let me know.

If your daughter wants to participate in Summer Soccer League, please let me know the following:

NEW PLAYERS: women’s jersey size (S, M, L)
CURRENT PLAYERS: If a new jersey is needed, what size and existing number?
ALL PLAYERS: Cost to participate is $25
New players total cost: $50 (jersey plus league fee)
Returning players with jersey: $25 (league fee)
Payments of $50 or $25 can be made via Venmo: (@tmhflynn, last four digits of my mobile are 4335)
or via personal check made out to:
Friends of Concord-Carlisle Girls Soccer.

Please send an email as follows to tmhflynn@gmail.com
1. Player name
2. Player jersey size
3. Player year of graduation
4. Amount of Venmo ($25 or $50)
Parent volunteers:

We will need one parent/volunteer chaperone per game. Slots will be available in Sign-Up Genius. All chaperones will need to submit a CORI form and fingerprints. If you do not have a CORI through CCHS, please reach out and we will help you get set up.

Chaperoning really involves just being there in case something goes wrong – The players sub themselves and keep things moving.
